Singapore Pre Wedding Photography

Hello everyone.

We recently completed a pre wedding photography shoot for our couple – Kon Hin and Chai Ding and thought to share with you what goes on behind each of our shoots.

But before that, a little background of our lovely couple. They are from across the crossway – Malaysia but work in Singapore. Although they had originally planned to have their engagement photography session back in their hometown, they eventually decided to settle for Singapore, their second home.

We had several bouts of hazy days in Singapore and we prayed that the haze would blow over just for the day. So in the twilight hours before we set off to begin the day’s shoot, our prayers were answered as the haze appeared to have disappeared. The day started pretty early for our couple who had to ensure that the make up was done before the harsh afternoon sun made shooting difficult.

After a hearty breakfast, we set off on our shoot. The first destination was the newly named UNESCO World Heritage Site – The Singapore Botanic Gardens. This is a popular destination for wedding photography in Singapore and as we were there early, it was not crowded. Next up, we ventured to another historical landmark in Singapore – fort canning which exhibits a timeless charm and peaceful against the backdrop of the bustling CBD. No wedding photoshoot would be complete without the spiral staircase. After wrapping up our shoot we made our way to the National Museum for another outdoor shoot before breaking for lunch.

Other places we visited were the historical National Art Museum (the old Supreme Court), Henderson Wave and the Marina Bay Sands area just before evening came.

Our last location was Gardens by the Bay for our night shoot. We had expected a moderate crowd, but nothing could have prepared us for what we saw. Gardens by the Bay was holding its annual Mid Autum festival which provided a very lively atmosphere to the shoot. However, this also meant that the place was very crowded. Thankfully, our experience shooting there proved useful as we were familiar with quieter places and we concluded our photoshoot.

There was never a down moment and spirits were high as new friendships and bonds were formed.

To our lovely couple – Kon Hin and Chai Ding. We are honoured to have been chosen by you to cover your engagement photography session and we thank you for the lovely time.

Here are the behind the scenes video and photos from the artwork.

Just as we made our way home, we looked up at the sky again, which had turned from a deep dark blue, to a purplish one. The haze had once returned, but not a moment too soon.
