Paris prewedding photoshoot

After months of preparation with our Australian couple over phone and whatsapp, we are finally going to our dream location for our photoshoot! We first stop over at Paris for 3 days before proceeding to take WOW air to Iceland.

First we proceed to Saint James Paris to meet our couple, have a nice lunch and discuss about the shooting plans.

Even the toilet is so beautiful.

Saint James Paris is a chateau hotel built in the 16th century. The outside feels like a French countryside chateau but the inside is magnificent with the grand staircase, architecture and mesmerizing staircase with crazily nice wall paper.

The locations of the shoots in Paris can be found in our Paris Travelog here:

After we end our Paris shoot, we are lucky to meet up with our previous couple we shot for in New Zealand in Paris over lunch and beer along Av. des Champs-Élysées . What an awesome meet up overseas. Their New Zealand Prewedding can be found here:

Our aerial shoot:

Its time to board Wowair!

Iceland Prewedding Shoot

Landed at Keflavík International Airport and the temperature was around 8 degrees. The wind is strong!

First stop and we are at Bonus to buy our groceries before proceeding to our Airbnb at Hvolsvöllur. This Airbnb is big and spacious with excellent view of the fields and mountains.

This Iceland trip was a challenging, memorable and rewarding experience.

Each shoot location is so beautiful but they are like 2 to 3 hours away from our accomodations.

Our couple almost gave up shooting 5mins into the shoot due to the chilly❄️ 5degs strong wind🌬️ eventhough it’s Summer!

Eventually our couple and crews brave through the weather and journey, and we managed to get these amazing shots. Kudos to our couple and crews.

这冰岛之旅很有挑战的一个拍摄,大家冒着冷天气,超强的风一直吹,不到5分钟顾客就不想拍了。是真的啊,冰岛拍摄新人比摄影师辛苦。 😄

Jökulsárlón Iceberg Lagoon

Jökulsárlón is the most magical place we ever visited. As we drive along the south coast of Iceland, you can see this amazing view of a lake filled with icebergs. When the wind is low the water is still & calm giving perfect reflections of the incredible shapes & colours of the icebergs from the Breiðamerkurjökull glacier. On the ocean side, you get mesmerized by the Diamond Beach.

Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach

Reynisfjara is a world-famous black-sand beach found on the South Coast of Iceland, by the village Vík in South Iceland. It is an unique and spectacular site with its enormous towering basalt sea stacks (Reynisdrangar), roaring Atlantic waves and stunning panoramas. Reynisfjara even on a warm summer day, the freezing North Atlantic wind will make even the strongest feel cold.  Puffins can be seen on the southern end of the beach. National Geographic voted Reynisfjara as one of the Top 10 non-tropical beaches to visit on the planet.

Skógafoss Waterfall

Skógafoss is high on most people’s Iceland itinerary. But did you know there’s an old legend which says that behind the falls is a chest with great treasures that was hidden by one of the first viking settlers? Good luck getting behind the waterfall through, if you can withstand the cold and powerful waterflow.

Kirkjufell Mountain

Kirkjufellsfoss (Church Mountain Falls) is a short but very well-situated waterfall near the distinctive Kirkjufell mountain on the north side of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. It is one of the most famous waterfall in Iceland and it is indeed the most beautiful place we have ever visited.

Reykjavìk is the most beautiful city we have ever been in. It is so clean, the people are friendly and there are lots to do! While we are there, Iceland entered the world cup the Icelanders are all celebrating their success. One of safest city in the world to travel in. How can we miss Hallgrimskirkja the iconic Lutheran parish church. Hallgrimskirkja is clearly visible from many points in Reykjavik and serves as a navigational landmark.

After finishing our shoot, we went on to travel to see the Solheimasandur DC Plane, Geysir, Gullfoss Falls, Thingvellir National Park and Blue Lagoon. Icelandic moonscapes and Blue Lagoon day exceeded all expectations! We felt very blessed to have the opportunity to shoot for our couple and experience this wonder of our world!

Not forgetting to take our selfies at our dream location; the DC Plane Wreck. Braving the chilling winds and walking 5km to take our selfies! ✈️ Thanking all our couples and muas who have been on the journey with us throughout our overseas shoots.

As passionate photographers and travellers across the globe in the pursuit of the next best image, our mantra is that we come and leave foot prints of our journey, and take nothing back but memories and great photos. Always respect the place we are allowed access to.

This historic plane crash site has recently seen a spike in visitors. With a tourist boom in Iceland, along comes the unwelcomed disrespect shown by inconsiderate people towards the site. Unfortunately, we just witnessed just a couple wrecking the interior and floor and we hope that the land owner does not close off access to the public again due to the unthoughtful act of a handful of inconsiderate people.
